External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be on an official visit to Bhutan from September 16-17, during which he will hold talks with his Bhutanese counterpart to shore up bilateral cooperation.
During the visit he will receive a royal audience with the King of Bhutan, and call on the Prime Minister of Bhutan, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.
The external affairs minister will pay an official visit to Bhutan from September 16-17 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Bhutan, Lyonpo D N Dhungyel.
During the visit, the EAM will hold bilateral talks with the foreign minister of Bhutan, the MEA said.

"The visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between India and Bhutan, and to further strengthen the existing close ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries," the ministry said.
