Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday said the police were examining every aspect of the controversy surrounding the vandalism at the coaching institute run by educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, including his ongoing dispute with fellow teacher Raushan Anand.

His remarks came a day after Raushan Anand accused Khan Sir of being behind the alleged murder of his brother, Prince Yadav, who died under mysterious circumstances in Nepal. Anand, who was recently released on bail in connection with the vandalism case at Khan Sir's coaching centre earlier this month, demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Responding to calls for a CBI inquiry, Choudhary said the state police were conducting a thorough investigation and that all possible angles were being examined.

"Police are investigating the matter. We will go to the depth of the case and the actual culprits will be caught soon. A CBI inquiry will be considered only if the government is not satisfied with the findings of the police investigation," the deputy chief minister said.

The demand for a central probe also found support from Leader of Opposition and RJD working president Tejashwi Yadav, who wrote to Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary urging that the entire episode be handed over to the CBI.

Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan said the matter had implications for students and the education sector, making an impartial investigation essential.

"This issue concerns the future of students. An investigation is necessary and is underway. A proper probe will help arrive at a solution," Paswan said.

Meanwhile, Bihar minister Ram Kripal Yadav described the incident as "extremely unfortunate" and alleged that anti-social elements had increasingly found a foothold in the coaching industry.

"Some people have turned education into a commercial enterprise. There is fierce competition driven by profiteering," he said.

He also urged opposition leaders not to politicise the issue.

"Some opposition leaders are trying to convert this into a political battleground for their own gains. They should instead help preserve the sanctity of educational institutions. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that this matter is not exploited for political purposes," Ram Kripal Yadav added.

The controversy has triggered widespread debate in Bihar over the growing influence of private coaching centres, their functioning, and the need for accountability within the state's highly competitive education ecosystem.
