New Delhi
A Delhi court on Wednesday remanded Soyab, a resident of Dhauj in Faridabad and an alleged aide of Red Fort blast suspect Umar un Nabi, to the National Investigation Agency for ten days. He was brought to Patiala House Court under tight security after his arrest in Haryana.
According to an NIA spokesperson, Soyab is accused of offering logistical help to Umar un Nabi before the Delhi bombing. The agency also presented another accused, Amir Rashid Ali, whose custody was due to end on November 27. The court extended Amir’s interrogation period by seven days and approved Soyab’s ten day remand.
Soyab is the seventh person arrested in the case, which is connected to a white collar terror network uncovered by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The NIA stated that it is following multiple leads and carrying out searches in different states with local police to identify others linked to the attack.
