Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to constitute a committee to strengthen 'digital governance' in the state.

Reddy, who held a meeting with officials, said the committee, comprising officials, should submit its report in 100 days.

He sought details of the implementation of 'digital governance' and instructed officials to formulate plans for digital governance and draft relevant legislation, a release said.

The CM emphasised that the administration should move towards full-scale digitisation. The main objective of the state government is to provide better services to the public and ensure that welfare schemes reach beneficiaries directly through digital governance, it said.

The chief minister, who held a review of the problems being faced by contract and outsourcing employees, enquired about the digitisation of data concerning contract and outsourcing staff.

He told officials to digitise the entire data and ensure that salaries to contract and outsourcing staff are paid on the first day of every month.
