A tribal couple and their minor son were allegedly hacked to death by relatives over suspicion of practising witchcraft in Jharkhand, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place late Monday night at Dang Tola in the Deodanr Police Station area, where the bodies were recovered the following day.
Ashok Ravidas said preliminary investigation suggests the killings were linked to suspicions of witchcraft.
“Three persons have been arrested so far. During initial interrogation, they told police that they suspected the victims of practising witchcraft,” he said.
Police have also recovered the axe allegedly used in the crime.

Further investigation is underway, officials added.
