Lucknow-based Zehra Kaynat's Calligraphy works are selling like hotcakes in the month of Ramzan. Zehra is an internationally recognised calligrapher and the owner of Zehra Calligraphy.
Through her art, she has proven that a hobby can be turned into a career.
This Ramzan, Zehra Kayna is selling a special Sunnah Kit. The kit includes Afghan topi, Miswak (toothbrush), Tasbih (Rosary), Surma (Kohl) and premium perfume. All these items are used for the devout during the fasting month and are considered Sunnah (Practices of the Prophet).
The kit is priced at Rs 249 and is being delivered free of cost across India.
Zehra Kaynat is positioning this product as a useful product for Muslims during Ramzan and also as a gift.
She has involved many women in the making and cobbling of this kit, generating livelihood.
Zehra believes that balancing prayer and work during Ramzan is possible, but time management is essential. The time after Sehri can be dedicated to prayer, important tasks can be completed during the day, and time can be spent with family after Iftar.
She says that Ramzan teaches discipline, and this discipline also leads to success in work. Her message, especially for women, is to recognize their potential and not be afraid to start small.
This venture proves that even beyond Ramzan, there are many business ideas for women that can be started from home. These include making handmade products, taking online bakery or cooking orders, sewing and designing, providing digital marketing services, or showcasing your skills through social media.
Those with a passion for handwriting or designing can create and sell personalised gift items or wall frames. Similarly, small businesses selling perfumes, skincare, or herbal products can also be started.
She believes that calligraphy is not just handwriting, but a form of prayer and meditation that brings peace to the mind. By teaching this art to children, she is giving a new generation a creative direction.
