Silver prices on Thursday fell by Rs 1,236 to Rs 2,25,762 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery declined by Rs 1,236, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 2,25,762 per kg in a business turnover of 427 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal was trading 0.23 per cent lower at USD 59.61 per ounce in New York.
