Silver futures decline to Rs 2.31 lakh/kg

New Delhi

Silver prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 1,411 to Rs 2,31,279 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery declined by Rs 1,411, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 2,31,279 per kg in a business turnover of 1,512 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal was trading 0.27 per cent down at USD 63.05 per ounce in New York.
