Actor Varun Dhawan revealed that he sustained a hairline fracture while filming an action sequence for his latest film, Border 2.

Sharing a video on Instagram, Varun showed himself lying on the ground after a stunt went wrong. “The worst injury I’ve ever had on Border 2. I smashed my tailbone into a rock while trying to avoid hitting the camera. It was the most excruciating pain I’ve felt. I sustained a hairline fracture on my tailbone, which I’m still recovering from,” he wrote.

He expressed gratitude to his team for supporting him through the shoot despite the injury. “Thankful to my team for helping me continue that day. I could barely walk, but we kept going. Grateful for this journey,” he added.

Fans flooded the comments, wishing the actor a speedy recovery and expressing concern for his well-being.

In Border 2, Varun portrays Param Veer Chakra awardee Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya. The war drama, which hit theatres on January 23, is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan War and highlights the coordinated efforts of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The film also stars Sunny Deol, who returns to uniform, along with Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that Border 2 had a strong opening, earning Rs 32.10 crore on its first day. The film has performed well over the extended weekend, grossing Rs 231.83 crore domestically so far.
