Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday rejected the Indian National Congress government’s claim that the Centre was not supporting Telangana, citing several recent decisions by the BJP-led NDA government.
The Union Minister of State for Home said the Centre had announced Rs 884 crore support for minimum support price (MSP) procurement of 1.25 lakh metric tonnes of urad, sunflower and other crops from farmers in the state.
He also pointed out that 18,213 houses had been approved for Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana continues to receive strong support for infrastructure, farmers, housing and heritage. Facts matter more than false propaganda,” Sanjay Kumar said in a post on X.
According to the minister, two new Amrit Bharat Express trains have been announced connecting Cherlapalli with Nagercoil and Kamakhya.
He further said that two historic temples in Mulugu district are set to receive national monument status under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
