BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal on Monday said that the party will be organising programmes under the nationwide 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17, to commemorate the completion of 25 years of public service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a press statement issued here, Bindal said that a meeting will be held at the BJP state office in Shimla to finalise the detailed programme and ensure its effective implementation at the grassroots level.
Bindal said the month-long campaign will begin on September 17, the prime minister's birthday, and will comprise a series of social service and public welfare programmes across the country.
He said the BJP decided to organise the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan during its national office-bearers' meeting and workshop. "The campaign will highlight PM's 25-year journey of service, good governance and development," he added.
Bindal said the campaign will commence with blood donation camps, followed by programmes including the 'Seva Jyoti Yatra' and several other public service initiatives, symbolising Prime Minister Modi's 25 years of service; lakhs of people across the country will devote 25 minutes to serving society in different ways.
He added that Modi has made service, good governance and development the foundation of governance. "Empowering the poor, strengthening farmers, creating opportunities for youth, promoting women-led development and strengthening the country's infrastructure have remained central to this journey," Bindal said.

He noted that the party will ensure that the campaign reaches every section of society and that party workers actively participate in service-oriented activities throughout the state.
