The Indian Navy will organise a Joint Services Multi-Speciality Medical Camp in Lakshadweep from January 12 to 16, aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare to residents of the island territory. The five-day camp will be formally inaugurated by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi.

The initiative, part of the Navy’s ongoing outreach and Navy Day activities, will offer specialist consultations, treatment services, and selected surgical procedures, including cataract surgeries. Medical teams from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force will cover Agatti, Kavaratti, Androth, Amini, and Minicoy islands, providing expertise across multiple specialties such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, and Dental Surgery.

The camp is designed to complement the existing government healthcare infrastructure and will emphasise early diagnosis, preventive care, and health awareness. Residents will also receive guidance on follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment.
