The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday announced that exit gates of Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat metro stations facing Rafi Marg will remain closed from 2 pm to 6 pm on January 28 and 29 due to security arrangements for the Beating Retreat Ceremony 2026.
Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and follow station announcements during the temporary closures. Enhanced security checks will be conducted at all metro stations until January 29, and passengers are urged to allow extra travel time and maintain discipline while queuing.
The Delhi Traffic Police has also announced restrictions at multiple locations in central Delhi for the rehearsals around Vijay Chowk. Road curbs will be enforced from 4 pm to 6 pm on January 28 to facilitate security and movement arrangements.

The Beating Retreat ceremony, held at Vijay Chowk on the evening of January 29, marks the formal conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations each year.
