Congress MP Kapil Sibal on Saturday launched a sharp critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), questioning its governance over the past 11 years and expressing concern over rising water and air pollution, law and order issues, and neglect of education and health.
Speaking at a press conference, Sibal criticised the implementation of the “Har Ghar Nal se Jal” scheme, saying, “Na nal rahe na jal raha, bas desh jal raha”, and warned that the Aravalli range, Delhi’s source of clean water, is being destroyed for mining.
He also highlighted worsening air quality in Delhi and alleged that the government has shown “zero policy” to address it. Sibal raised concerns over law and order, noting that while the Prime Minister greets churches, Bajrang Dal members continue violent acts.
On governance priorities, he said the focus has shifted to “cleanliness” of voter lists rather than essential public services, adding that education and healthcare have received little attention over the last 15 years, particularly since 2014.

“The question arises as to what every human being needs. I want the air I breathe to be clean, and the water I drink to be clean as well,” he said, stressing that these basic needs have been overlooked.
