A special NIA court at Patiala House on Thursday extended the custody of accused Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish for seven more days in connection with the November 10 blast case.
Jasir, arrested from Srinagar on November 17, is the second accused to be held by the National Investigation Agency. According to the NIA, he allegedly provided technical support for terror attacks, modified drones, and was attempting to develop a rocket for use in the conspiracy.
He was produced before Special NIA Judge Anju Bajaj Chandana amid heavy security after completing 10 days of custody. The court had earlier permitted him to meet his lawyer on alternate days during interrogation.
As per the investigation, Jasir is believed to be an active co-conspirator behind the attack and had been working closely with Umar un Nabi. The agency claims the planned attacks involved the use of modified drones and improvised rockets ahead of the deadly car bomb blast that killed 10 people and injured 32.
The NIA said multiple teams are probing various angles of the conspiracy and conducting searches across states to track every person involved.
