Pilgrims from Delhi and the NCR region can take a flight to reach Ajmer Sharif in Ajmer, as a private airline today launched the service between Hindon Airbase and Kishangarh, Rajasthan.

Ajmer is located about 30 km from Kishangarh.

The flight will also be of great help to those undertaking a pilgrimage to Pushkar Raj, the Rajasthan Lake-town which is famous for the world’s only temple dedicated to Lord Bramha.

The inauguration of the service

In the inaugural flight, Haji Syed Salman Chishti, Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif, and Founder of the Chishthy Foundation flew from Kishengarh to Hindon air base, UP. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Udaan' scheme and the initiative of Regional Connectivity Services (RCS).

Chishty said the RCS will not only provide an opportunity to connect small towns like Kishangarh with many cities in India but also make air travel accessible and affordable for the common man.

He said that this initiative will help common Indians, including pilgrims, visit the holy Ajmer Sharif Dargah and Pushkar Raj

Chishty said, that this initiative, inspired by the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment, perfectly aligns with the teachings, beliefs, and cultural philosophy of the great Sufi-Bhakti spiritual tradition of India.

Haji Syed Salman Chishti believes that the UDAN and RCS schemes are not just about connecting cities and states, but also about bridging divides and increasing mutual understanding and respect.

The RCS Udaan initiative has an important spiritual dimension, focused on improving travel accessibility for pilgrims undertaking the holy journey to destinations including the Dargah of Hazrat Khawaja Garib Nawaz in Ajmer Sharif and the iconic Brahma Temple in Pushkar.

Chishty said that by connecting Kishangarh to Ghaziabad Hindon, Star Air has taken an important step in fulfilling the aspirations of common citizens and promoting spiritual tourism in deprived areas.

Haji Syed Salman Chishty praised Star Air and Sanjay Ghodawat Group for their initiative. Haji Syed Salman Chishty, President of Gaddi Nasheen Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chishti Foundation and CEO of Udaan Company were present in the formal inauguration program of Udaan.
