Union Minister Piyush Goyal, BJP’s Tamil Nadu election in-charge, on Thursday criticised the ruling DMK government over alleged corruption and nepotism, ahead of the state assembly elections.

After meetings with Tamil Maanila Congress leader GK Vasan and NDA ally AC Shanmugam, Goyal expressed confidence that the NDA would secure a decisive mandate. He said the alliance aims to bring “good governance, development, and prosperity” to all sections of Tamil Nadu, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and AIADMK chief Edappadi K Palaniswami.

Goyal accused the DMK of misgovernance and singled out Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for alleged hate speech, asserting that the people of Tamil Nadu are ready to reject “incompetence and corruption.”

Earlier, Goyal also met Palaniswami at his Chennai residence. The NDA is gearing up for a major public meeting tomorrow, where PM Modi will address supporters alongside Palaniswami, Vasan, John Pandian, and other alliance leaders.
