Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and former cricketer-turned-Minister Mohammad Azharuddin are among 40 star campaigners announced by Congress for the Maharashtra civic elections.
Other prominent campaigners include AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot, Kanhaiya Kumar, and Jignesh Mevani. Local party leaders from Maharashtra will also campaign across the state.

The elections for 29 civic bodies, including Mumbai, are scheduled for January 15, with results to be declared the next day. The polls, covering 2,869 seats and over 3.48 crore voters, are expected to be a key political contest between the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition MVA coalition.
