Higher reaches of Uttarakhand witnessed another round of snowfall on Tuesday, marking the second such weather event in the state within a span of a few days.

Officials said light to moderate snowfall has been continuing intermittently since Monday night in Badrinath area of Chamoli district, as well as in Kedarnath and nearby peaks in Rudraprayag district. Snow was also reported from the upper Himalayan ranges, including the Bandarpunch massif and other high-altitude mountains in Uttarkashi district.

Meanwhile, Gangotri and Yamunotri, along with adjoining areas in Uttarkashi, remained under cloudy skies. In contrast, weather conditions stayed dry across Dehradun and other low-lying and plain regions of the state.
