Atul Ladha, Managing Director of Vectus Polymers Private Limited, has successfully summited Mount Aconcagua, South America’s highest peak, marking a significant milestone in Indian mountaineering.

Standing at 6,962 metres above sea level, Aconcagua is the tallest mountain outside the Himalayan range and one of the iconic Seven Summits. With this achievement, Ladha has set two notable records — becoming the oldest Indian to summit Aconcagua and the first Indian to complete the ascent in the minimum recorded time of seven days.

The expedition tested climbers with extreme altitude, unpredictable weather, and demanding terrain, making Aconcagua one of the most challenging non-technical climbs in the world. Ladha’s swift and successful ascent underscores exceptional physical endurance, mental resilience, and meticulous preparation.

Reflecting on the climb, Ladha said the journey was a lesson in discipline and belief. “This expedition reinforced the importance of preparation, patience, and consistency. Every summit reminds us that perceived limits can be pushed with the right mindset,” he said.

Following the successful climb, Ladha shared a video message with Vectus employees and channel partners, encouraging them to approach challenges with confidence, purpose, and perseverance — principles he said mirror the organisation’s leadership philosophy.

Industry observers noted that Ladha’s achievement goes beyond personal accomplishment, symbolising leadership that leads by example and inspires excellence across professional and personal domains.
