More than 230 people reportedly fell sick due to suspected food poisoning after attending a wedding feast in Abhlod village, officials said on Tuesday.
According to Yogesh Nirgude, those affected complained of vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach pain shortly after having dinner at the function on Monday night.
Around 400 guests had attended the wedding meal, which reportedly included mango juice served around 8 pm. Several attendees began feeling unwell around 11 pm.
The affected villagers were taken to nearby primary health centres, community health facilities and private hospitals for treatment.
Officials said 59 people were admitted to a private hospital, where their condition was reported to be stable.
Dr Rajiv Damor said those hospitalised were receiving treatment and were out of danger.
