Memories of last year's lockdown across India that made thousands of workers and their families walk along highway to reach their homes in the hinterland triggered a fresh migrant of the workforce from the Indian capital that goes under a strict curfew from Monday 10 pm for a week.
Ravi Batra visited the Anand Vihar Railway station and Inter state Bus Terminus at Anand Vihar, East Delhi, to capture the phenomenon of workers boarding buses and trains to reach their homes well before the curfew begins.
The rush on Monday noon at Anand Vihar Railway station in East Delhi from where trains leave for Uttar pradesh and Bihar.
Since trains are full many migrants are opting to take buses from the Inter State Bus Termninus, Anand Vihar. The scene at the entrance of the bus station.
