A year after N. Ramachandran was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, his family says the pain remains unchanged and they are still struggling to come to terms with the loss.
The 65-year-old was holidaying in Kashmir with his wife, daughter and grandchildren when militants opened fire in Baisaran Valley, killing 26 people, most of them tourists. The attack shocked the nation and was followed by Operation Sindoor targeting terror launchpads in Pakistan.
His daughter, Arathi R. Menon, who witnessed the killing of her father, said she was still not in a position to speak about the tragedy. She told PTI that a year had passed but everything remained the same, adding that she did not wish to comment further.
Menon said a remembrance event would be held near Changampuzha Park in Kochi on Wednesday morning, while another ceremony was planned there on Sunday.
She also said she would soon return permanently to Dubai after spending the past year travelling on and off between Kochi and abroad.

Menon had come to Kerala for what was meant to be a family vacation to Kashmir with her parents and children, a trip that ended in tragedy.
