It said both the government and religious authorities should identify not only the perpetrators of the blast but also the conspirators, ideologues, supporters, and followers behind them.

“IMPAR also appeals to intellectuals, sectarian, and community leaders for introspection and honest reform to eliminate any form of extremist or fundamentalist fundamentalism anywhere.”

Mufti Ziai

In Mumbai, the head of the International Sufi Caravan, Mufti Manzoor Ziai, said the blast in Delhi has shaken the conscience of the country. “It is a tragedy that has saddened every compassionate heart and compelled every human being to reflect. The innocent lives lost are not just the loss of a few families, but a tragedy for all humanity.

“This incident reflects brutality and cruelty that no religion, conscience or civilisation can accept. Terrorism is a mindset that spreads fear and destroys social peace. But we must remember that terrorism has no religion, community, or sect. It is merely a weapon of those who are enemies of humanity.”

Mufti Ziai appealed to the Muslims, peace-loving citizens, and especially the youth, not to fall into the trap of villains by associating themselves with such anti-humanity incidents.

He asked the countrymen not to fall into the trap laid by terrorists by becoming hateful to each other. “Hate cannot be answered with hatred — it must be answered with unity, wisdom, and brotherhood. Terrorists want us to become divided and suspicious of one another. We must defeat their intentions. Let us resolve to reject the agenda of hatred, refuse provocation, rumours, or any form of communal propaganda. We will remain united for peace, justice, and brotherhood.

“This is the time to break the walls of sectarianism, misunderstanding, and hatred, and build a strong nation on love, justice, tolerance, and harmony. The real tribute to the innocent souls lost is to uphold peace, unity, and humanity. May Allah bless our beloved nation with peace, prosperity, and mutual love.”
