Jio Institute, in collaboration with the Indian Sport Management Association (INSMA), will host the second edition of the Indian Sport Management Conference (INSMA 2025) on December 19 at its campus here.
The conference will bring together policymakers, academics, industry leaders, athletes and global experts to deliberate on sport management, research and policy, in line with India’s aspiration to host the 2036 Olympic Games.
The theme, “Olympic Vision 2036: Converging India’s Aspirations, Capabilities and Competencies for a Global Sporting Stage,” aligns with the National Sports Policy 2025 and Vision 2036. Discussions will focus on talent development, sports science, digital innovation, entrepreneurship and governance reforms aimed at strengthening India’s sporting ecosystem.
INSMA 2025 will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and more than 25 research paper presentations, seeking to bridge academic research with industry practice.
Key focus areas include high-performance sport, grassroots participation, sports technology, inclusivity, sustainable sport economies and governance frameworks.
The conference will see participation from senior policymakers, sports administrators, Olympic and elite athletes, industry leaders and academics from India and abroad.
INSMA President Sarthak Mondal said the second edition builds on the momentum of the inaugural conference and aims to catalyse research-driven solutions for sport management in India.
Project Director of Jio Institute Palak Sheth said the conference reflects the institute’s commitment to strengthening sports management education and practice.
