Four men who had reportedly gone missing in separate incidents across Balochistan have resurfaced after alleged unofficial detention, renewing concerns over enforced disappearances in the province.

According to reports cited by The Balochistan Post, the individuals were allegedly held without legal process in the Kech and Noshki districts.

Rahim Bakhsh, a resident of Buleda in Kech, was reportedly taken into custody on March 2, 2026, and released on April 6. Abdul Rehman from Noshki, who had been missing since February 15, was said to have been freed on April 20.

In another case, Naveed Baloch, reportedly missing since May 2025, reappeared in Noshki on April 19 after nearly a year. Haji Nazeer Ahmed, also from Noshki, was allegedly detained on February 18 and released on April 20.

Local sources claimed all four men had been held by Pakistani security forces without formal charges or judicial proceedings. Human rights activists have condemned the incidents and renewed demands for an end to enforced disappearances.

Meanwhile, protests against such cases continue across the province. A sit-in organised by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club has entered its 6,141st day.

Families of three men — Safeer Sumalani, Amanullah Sumalani, and Irfan Muhammad Hasni — recently joined the protest, alleging their relatives were detained and later killed in what authorities described as an encounter in Mastung district.

Relatives claimed the three were taken from Kardegap on April 16 and later died in custody. VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch called for an independent investigation into the incident.
