There is bad news from Pakistan. An Ahmadiya mosque was vandalized there. A worrying aspect of this news is that not only did the saboteurs appear to be rejoicing over their action, the site of the mosque which had 'La Ilaha Ilallah Mohammedar Rasoolallah' written on it, was also damaged.

This incident has been reported from Garamola Vikram village in Gujranwala district of Punjab province of Pakistan. Victims said that all of this happened in the presence of police personnel. A mob of the majority Sunni community stormed the mosque of minority Ahmadiyas and vandalized it. Sunnis do not consider Ahamadiyas as Muslim. The latter have a minority status in Pakistan.

Two videos related to the incident have surfaced. The videos have been shared on social media through the 'Voice of Pakistan Minority' Twitter handle highlighting the oppression of minorities in Pakistan. In one video, some people are seen vandalizing the mosque.

In another video related to the incident, some people are seen raising slogans in the name of Paigambar Mohammad and Kalma, and rejoicing. One is 41 minutes long and the other, 59 minutes. The Voice of Pakistan Minority twitter handle has criticized this incident. At the same time, the Pakistan government has demanded action against the accused.

Five days before this incident, indiscriminate firing was carried out outside the houses of three Ahmadiya families in the Wajid Khel village of Peshawar. What was the purpose of the shooters and why did they target those houses? It is yet to be officially ascertained. It is believed that this action was taken to create panic among the minorities.

Bangladesh: Out of arrest for attacking Hindus and temples

On the other hand, those who attacked Hindus and their five places of worship in Bangladesh two days ago are still out of the custody of the police. According to a website there, a case has not been filed in this case so far.

Only a few people have been detained for formality. This behaviour of Bangladesh has been criticized by writer Taslima Nasreen, who leads an exiled life. She has tweeted - "There are attacks on Hindus and temples in Bangladesh and Sheikh Hasina is busy arranging for the celebration of her father's grand anniversary."

The tinshed houses of Hindus which were broken and looted besides temples

It is noteworthy that two days ago, more than 40 houses and five temples of Hindus were vandalized, looted and set on fire in Naugaon of Shalla in Sunamganj, Bangladesh. Protestors were also beaten up. It is alleged that people from the radical group 'Hefezat-e-Islam' were behind this.

The attack was carried out in a planned manner. In this case, some people have been taken into custody. On the other hand, there was no delay in arresting the said Hindu boy, who is alleged to have criticized a prominent leader of Hefazat on his Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Bangladesh on March 25 for two days. The Muslim Jamaat alongside Hefazat-e-Islam is opposing this. It is alleged that during the ongoing protests by Hefazat men, abusive words are being used for Hindus and Hinduism besides PM Narendra Modi.

Two days ago, a Hindu youth criticized the speech of a prominent leader of the organization on his Facebook. Then hundreds of people of Hefazat gheraoed the Hindu youth and houses of other villagers in Naogaon, in a planned manner.

They raided the houses, ransacking everything, looting and setting them on fire. The residents were heckled and abused when they protested. The attitude of the police in this matter is said to be highly unsatisfactory. No action has been taken against any big leader of the organization so far.

According to Bangladesh news website ‘The Daily Star,’ 35 houses of the Hindu community were damaged in the attack. Most of the houses were anyway made of tin. However, a total of 40 houses were ransacked. Jahangir Hussain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sunamganj, has described it as a partial loss.

He said that the police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The situation was brought under control. He claimed that there is no news of looting or arson so far. Also, he confessed that no arrests have been made in this case, nor a case has been registered.

According to the website, the houses of Hindus were attacked after a Hindu youth criticized the organization's general secretary Maulana Mamunul Haq on social media. When contacted in relation to the incident, Abdul Basir, the central Naib-e-Amir of Tanjim and former chairman of the Sunamganj unit, said that he had heard about the incident,

But he said that he does not know the details. He also condemned the attack on "innocent people".
