The fischer Group has taken a decisive step in its global expansion by setting up a wholly new national subsidiary in Saudi Arabia, placing the German fastening major at the centre of one of the world’s fastest-evolving construction markets. The move marks fischer’s 51st operating company worldwide and signals a deeper commitment to regions shaping the future of global infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia has emerged as a strategic priority for international engineering and construction firms, driven by sweeping economic reforms and an unprecedented building pipeline under the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030. From next-generation cities to large-scale transport hubs and iconic landmarks, the kingdom is witnessing a construction boom of historic proportions and fischer aims to play a key role in that transformation.
“Saudi Arabia is an important market for us, which is why establishing our own national subsidiary was a logical step,” said Prof. Klaus Fischer, Owner of the fischer Group, underscoring the long-term vision behind the expansion.

Headquartered in Riyadh, the new subsidiary will operate additional locations in Jeddah, Dammam and Tabuk. Dammam will also house a local production facility, strengthening supply capabilities and reducing response times for large projects across the country. According to Alexander Bässler, CEO of the fischer Group, the expansion significantly boosts the company’s regional footprint. “The Middle East is a key growth region for us. Together with our existing operations in Dubai and Qatar, the Saudi subsidiary reinforces our market presence and proximity to customers,” he said.
fischer’s solutions are already embedded in several of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious developments. At the Jeddah Tower, set to become the tallest building in the world fischer fastening systems are supporting structures that rise more than a kilometre above ground. The company’s technologies are also being deployed in the Red Sea Project, including the Shurayrah Island Bridge and luxury resorts built in challenging desert and mountainous terrain.

In Riyadh, the Solitaire Mall has incorporated fischer façade systems across a 16,000-square-metre building envelope, while fire protection solutions from the group are being used at the new Riyadh International Airport, a key aviation hub for the region.
With a population exceeding 32 million and an economy poised for rapid infrastructure-led growth, Saudi Arabia represents a cornerstone of fischer’s future strategy. Equipped with global expertise, regional experience and now a strong local base, the group is positioning itself to support the kingdom’s next phase of development.
