Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani on Sunday announced that the conglomerate will double its investment in Gujarat to Rs 7 lakh crore over the next five years. The announcement came during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra regions in Rajkot.
Ambani outlined five key commitments for Gujarat:

Unprecedented Investment: Reliance, already Gujarat's largest investor with over Rs 3.5 lakh crore invested in the past five years, will increase its financial commitment to Rs 7 lakh crore.

Clean Energy & Green Materials Leadership: The Jamnagar complex will become the world’s largest integrated clean energy ecosystem, spanning solar, battery storage, green hydrogen, green fertilizer, sustainable aviation and maritime fuels, and advanced materials.

Kutch as a Global Clean Energy Hub: A multi-gigawatt solar project will deliver round-the-clock power through advanced storage and grid integration, reinforcing Gujarat’s leadership in renewable energy.

Artificial Intelligence Platform: Jio will launch a people-first AI platform, enabling citizens to access AI services in their language, on their devices. Jamnagar will host India’s largest AI-ready data centre, aiming to make AI affordable for every Indian.

Olympic Ambitions & Social Infrastructure: Reliance will partner with the Gujarat government to manage the Veer Savarkar Multisports Complex in Ahmedabad, support India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics, establish a world-class hospital in Jamnagar, and expand education facilities.

Ambani described these initiatives as building “the foundations of India’s prosperous tomorrow,” while positioning Gujarat as a global leader in clean energy, AI, and sports infrastructure.
