Silver prices on Tuesday fell by Rs 4,947 to Rs 2,71,769 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery declined by Rs 4,947, or 1.79 per cent, to Rs 2,71,769 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,121 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants primarily weighed on silver prices.

Globally, silver was trading 2.01 per cent lower at USD 76.51 per ounce in New York.
