After seven long years, Punjabi lyricist and composer Jaani has reunited with singer Arijit Singh, rekindling a musical bond that fans first celebrated with their 2019 hit, Bada Pachtaoge.
Sharing glimpses of the reunion on Instagram, Jaani posted photos from Arijit’s home studio in Jiaganj. In one touching moment, Arijit gifted Jaani an idol of Tridevi Durga Maa, symbolizing appreciation and respect for the visit.
Accompanying the pictures, Jaani expressed heartfelt admiration, calling Arijit his “Murshad” (mentor). He wrote: “Dada, I will never forget your love, saadgi, and purity! I always used to ask myself why you are the G.O.A.T… now I have all the answers. What I witnessed was extraordinary hard work. In just seven days, we learned life because of you and your team!”
Through his post, Jaani highlighted Arijit Singh’s humility, dedication, and simplicity, attributing these qualities to the singer’s status as the Greatest of All Time. He added that their week together offered profound life lessons that extended far beyond music.
Earlier, Jaani had shared snaps from a jamming session and a close-up of his guitar signed by Arijit, which read: “Bunny, Sagar, Jaani — God bless you. Prayers and love.”
Their reunion has sparked fan excitement and speculation about a potential new collaboration. Social media pages have been buzzing, with one fan page remarking: “Seven years later, Jaani links up with Arijit Singh and the energy screams new music in the making.” However, no official project announcements have been made yet.
The timing is significant, as Arijit recently returned to the stage in Kolkata for his first live performance following his announcement to step away from new playback assignments. During the event, he performed alongside sitarist Anoushka Shankar, thrilling fans with a memorable collaboration.
