"GDN", featuring Bollywood actor R Madhavan in the role of GD Naidu, is set to release on August 7.

The actor shared the news with a poster on his Instagram handle on Friday. The film was previously slated to release on July 17. "Story of a Man Driven by Passion… Fueled by Legacy. #GDN releases worldwide on August 7," read the caption.

The film is directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and also features Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiah, and Vinay Rai, among others.

Produced under Varghese Moolan Pictures and Madhavan's Tricolour Films, it is a biopic on GD Naidu, a self-taught engineer, who revolutionised Indian industry by adapting imported technologies into affordable and practical innovations.

It will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

Besides "GDN", the actor will also feature in Netflix's "Legacy" alongside Nimisha Sajayan. The crime series is directed by Charukesh Sekar and also features Abhishek Banerjee, Nimisha Sajayan and Gautham Karthi, among others.
