Netflix has announced a new addition to its reality programming lineup with Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa, a captive reality series that will be hosted by actor Riteish Deshmukh and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan.

The streaming platform unveiled the trailer for the upcoming show on Thursday, offering audiences a first look at its format and introducing Deshmukh and Khan as the show's "Jailers".

The reality series will bring together 14 celebrity contestants, referred to as "inmates", who will live under one roof in a confined setting, completely cut off from the outside world. Over the course of six weeks, they will have to navigate shifting alliances, strategic gameplay, emotional disclosures and difficult choices in a bid to avoid elimination and remain in the competition.

According to the makers, the contestants will be subjected to a range of challenges, chargesheets, punishments and status-based hierarchies. Constant surveillance and mounting pressure are expected to test not only their resilience and survival instincts but also reveal unexpected aspects of their personalities.

Sharing his thoughts on the show, Riteish Deshmukh said the concept reflects the reality of today's fast-moving world, where public perception often shapes outcomes.

"Every contestant will enter the game with a strategy and a plan, but situations inside the house can change very quickly. That's what makes this format exciting and unpredictable," he said in a statement.

Farah Khan described the show as an unfiltered environment where participants would be pushed beyond their comfort zones.

"Over the years, I've witnessed all kinds of drama, but Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa is an entirely different experience. There are no filters and no retakes -- just well-known personalities trying to reveal who they really are while dealing with genuine pressure. That's where the real entertainment begins," she said.

Highlighting the chemistry between the two hosts, Khan added, "Riteish and I have completely different styles, and that contrast makes the chaos even more enjoyable. If viewers think they've already seen enough drama, they're in for a surprise."
