Actor Sonam Kapoor’s Mumbai residence was filled with warmth, tradition, and understated glamour as she celebrated her second baby shower with an intimate godh bharai ceremony on Sunday.
The Kapoor home was elegantly decorated with lush floral arrangements and delicate hanging paper birds, creating a serene and ethereal setting for the traditional puja. The celebration brought together close family members and friends for what turned into a soulful and stylish affair.
Accompanied by husband Anand Ahuja and father Anil Kapoor, the 40-year-old actor looked radiant as she welcomed guests, including cousins Arjun, Khushi and Anshula Kapoor, along with close friends from the film fraternity such as Kareena Kapoor Khan and veteran actor Shabana Azmi.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was Sonam’s custom lime-green lehenga. Designed in a lightweight, flowing fabric, the ensemble featured soft pastel floral embroidery on the skirt, paired with a matching embellished choli. Instead of a traditional dupatta, she opted for a floor-length cape draped like a relaxed pallu, lending the outfit a contemporary edge while ensuring comfort. The high-waisted silhouette was tailored to accentuate her baby bump.
Sonam completed her look with her hair styled in a sleek bun, a small red bindi, a bold red lip, and statement gold jewellery, including a heavy necklace, earrings, bangles, and rings.
Entrepreneur Miheeka Daggubati shared moments from the ceremony on social media, posting a heartfelt message celebrating the new chapter in Sonam and Anand’s lives.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their first child, son Vayu, in 2022. The actor announced her second pregnancy in November 2025 through a stylish social media post that quickly went viral. Dressed in a pink ensemble inspired by Princess Diana, she captioned the post “Mother,” prompting an outpouring of congratulatory messages from the film industry.
