Actor Tom Hardy will reportedly not be returning for the third season of the crime drama series Mobland on streaming platform Paramount+.

According to a report by Variety, Hardy was not invited back for the upcoming season following reported disagreements on set involving executive producer Jez Butterworth, 101 Studios and others associated with the production.

Sources cited by the publication said filming for the second season had already concluded in March. Although the makers have not officially confirmed a third season, industry insiders believe another instalment is highly likely due to the show's popularity on the streaming platform.

It is still unclear how Hardy’s character will be written out of the storyline.

Created by Ronan Bennett, the series premiered in 2025 and featured Hardy in the role of fixer Harry Da Souza. The cast also includes Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Paddy Considine.

The story revolves around the Harrigan crime family, led by Conrad Harrigan, played by Brosnan, and his wife Maeve, portrayed by Mirren. Considine essays the role of their son Kevin.

Butterworth co-wrote all ten episodes of the series alongside Bennett.

This is not the first time Hardy has reportedly been involved in tensions during filming. During the making of Mad Max: Fury Road, he reportedly had disagreements with co-star Charlize Theron. Director George Miller had later spoken about challenges during the production.

The book Blood, Sweat, and Chrome by Kyle Buchanan also detailed behind-the-scenes accounts from the making of the film.
