Actor Nimrat Kaur says that in an era of fleeting attention spans and constant content overload, she prefers to take on roles that leave a lasting impact on audiences.
Known for her performances in The Lunchbox and Airlift, Kaur emphasised that meaningful storytelling remains her priority over simply staying busy.
“In today’s fast-moving world where people quickly move on, I believe it’s important to choose work that stays with them for longer,” she said, adding that she gravitates towards stories she connects with deeply.
The actor also noted that she does not feel compelled to accept projects just to remain visible. “I only say yes when I genuinely want to be part of something,” she said, while expressing interest in exploring new and diverse genres.
Kaur was speaking on the sidelines of the recently concluded Lakmé Fashion Week in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India, where she walked the runway for designer label Jajaabor by Neelanjan Ghosh and Kanika Sachdev.
She appeared in a gold floral corset paired with a draped skirt, styled with a single-sleeved cutwork jacket and statement earrings.
Sharing her perspective on style, Kaur described fashion as an evolving journey. She highlighted the importance of experimentation while staying authentic and mindful of one’s body type, adding that confidence comes from embracing individuality.
