Actor Mrunal Thakur says marriage is definitely part of her future plans, but she is waiting for the right person to walk into her life before taking the plunge.

Speculation about Thakur’s personal life made headlines last month, with reports claiming she was secretly dating South star Dhanush and would tie the knot on February 14, Valentine’s Day. However, neither of the actors has addressed the rumours.

Reacting to the buzz, Thakur said she has no hesitation in sharing her happiness publicly when the time is right.

“Yes, wedding is on the cards. And whenever the right day, the right time and the right person walks into my life, I will be the first one to announce it on my social networking sites,” Thakur told PTI in an interview.

The actor said she strongly relates to her character Roshni in her latest romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein, who believes marriage should not be done under pressure.

“Roshni says, ‘Karne ke liye nahi karni hai’ (Marriage shouldn’t be done just for the sake of doing it). Someone had to say it, and I’m glad she said it,” Thakur said.

She added that today’s generation places greater importance on genuine emotional connection rather than societal expectations.

“Earlier, people may have had different reasons to get married. Today, people marry because they want to, and they want to do it with the right person,” she said.

In Do Deewane Seher Mein, Thakur stars opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film is described as an imperfectly perfect love story revolving around Chaturvedi’s Shashank and Thakur’s Roshni.

The romantic drama is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Zee Studios, and is scheduled to release in theatres on February 20.
