RMZ, one of the world’s largest privately controlled real asset and consumer platform companies, partnered with Sopaan to support AIKYAM 2025, a three-day cultural event held from 21 to 23 November at the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora. The programme marked the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, celebrating art, heritage, cultural diplomacy and global collaboration.
The event brought together ambassadors, cultural leaders and patrons from across the world for an immersive showcase of India’s living heritage. Highlights included an address by Dr. Timothy Curtis, Director of UNESCO Regional Office in India, and a session by author-historian William Dalrymple at the iconic Kailasa Temple.
Visitors also witnessed Omkara, a large-scale ballet curated by Gauri Sharma Tripathi featuring performers from seven countries, along with folk arts, textiles, curated Maharashtrian cuisine and a live mural project by Brazilian artist Sergio Cordeiro, who recreated Ajanta frescoes in a contemporary style.
AIKYAM staged a classical concert once performed at the United Nations in New York, echoing the theme of oneness and highlighting harmony among humanity, nature, spirituality and scientific thought. Guests were taken on guided tours of the Ajanta and Ellora caves to deepen engagement with India’s cultural, architectural and conceptual traditions.
“Our collaboration with Sopaan reflects a long-term vision to protect ecological and cultural assets while building sustainable, resilient cities,” said Udiksha Panshikar, Director, RMZ Real Estate Investments.
Siddhaant Mohta, Co-founder & Director of Sopaan, said AIKYAM aims to transform heritage environments into global stages of unity and exchange, aligning with the United Nations’ founding ideals of peace and cooperation.
“Ajanta and Ellora remind us of what humanity can achieve together,” said Dr. Timothy Curtis, emphasising that the festival renews commitments to dialogue and collective action.
