T T V Dhinakaran on Friday dismissed speculation around seat-sharing talks in Tamil Nadu, asserting that only he is aware of the constituencies his party is seeking.

The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) leader said media reports on negotiations are speculative and clarified that he would be travelling to Delhi to meet leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He also maintained that Edappadi K Palaniswami remains the leader of their alliance in the state.

Dhinakaran rejected claims by Chief Minister M K Stalin regarding ongoing negotiations, stating that discussions within the alliance would conclude smoothly within a few days.

He further accused the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government of misusing funds and said the upcoming elections would essentially be a contest between the AIADMK-led NDA and the DMK alliance.

Stalin, in a recent communication to party workers, had criticised opposition leaders’ visits to Delhi, questioning whether they were aimed at securing benefits for the state. He alleged that decisions concerning Tamil Nadu were being influenced from outside and urged party cadres to intensify preparations for the 2026 Assembly elections.
