Congress MP Kumari Selja on Friday criticised the BJP-led government in Haryana, alleging that the ongoing issues related to LPG, PNG, and diesel supply highlight administrative shortcomings.

In a statement, Selja said the decision to make Piped Natural Gas (PNG) mandatory was implemented without adequate preparation, causing inconvenience to residents. She claimed that several households surrendered their LPG connections but did not receive PNG connections in time, leaving them without cooking fuel.

She further alleged that even in areas where PNG infrastructure exists, applications remain pending for extended periods, pointing to delays in execution.

The Congress leader also claimed that limited LPG availability has impacted households, hospitality services, and social functions, with reports of black marketing forcing consumers to pay higher prices for cylinders.

Raising concerns about diesel supply, Selja said long queues have been reported at fuel stations in some areas, posing challenges for farmers during the wheat harvesting season.

She urged the government to streamline PNG connections, ensure adequate LPG supply, and maintain uninterrupted availability of diesel, particularly to support the farming community.
