Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Jaswantpura in Jalore district received the highest rainfall in the state, recording 91 mm during the reporting period.
The weather department has placed Banswara, Baran, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Salumbar and Udaipur under an orange alert, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
No weather alert has been issued for Barmer and Jaisalmer districts. Meanwhile, the rest of the state remains under a yellow alert, indicating the possibility of light to moderate rainfall.

For Wednesday, the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in Baran, Bundi, Jhalawar and Kota, issuing an orange alert for these districts. Yellow alerts remain in effect for all other districts except Barmer and Jaisalmer.
