Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday launched and laid the foundation stones for eight development projects amounting to approximately Rs 63.56 crore in the Manali Assembly segment of Kullu district.
According to an official release, the chief minister inaugurated several road infrastructure projects, including the upgradation of the Nathna–Jana road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana at a cost of Rs 10.69 crore. He also opened the upgraded Manali–Kanyal road built at an expense of Rs 5.04 crore, along with the completion of metalling and tarring works on the Bebli–Jindaud road costing Rs 13.19 crore.
Sukhu further laid the foundation stone for a 33/11 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) power substation at Ibex Chowk in Manali, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 13.52 crore. He also initiated the construction of a bridge over the Beas river at Rangdi, estimated to cost Rs 15 crore.

In addition, the chief minister launched landslide mitigation works at Rangdi and Batahar along the left bank of the Beas river for Rs 2.90 crore. Other projects inaugurated included a hot water bath facility at Kalath worth Rs 1 crore and the District Panchayat Resource Centre at Bashing in Kullu, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.22 crore.
