India on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent drone and missile strikes on Fujairah, a key energy and shipping hub in the United Arab Emirates, in which three Indian nationals were injured.

Describing the attack as unacceptable, the Ministry of External Affairs said targeting civilian populations and critical infrastructure must stop immediately, while reiterating India’s consistent support for dialogue and diplomacy as the only sustainable path to restoring peace in West Asia.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India remains deeply concerned over the escalating regional tensions and called for restraint from all sides to prevent further deterioration of the security situation.

Highlighting the strategic importance of maritime trade routes, New Delhi also stressed the need for uninterrupted navigation and commercial movement through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law, noting that regional stability is vital for global energy security and commerce.

The Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed that three Indian citizens sustained injuries during the attacks and said officials were in constant contact with local authorities to ensure that the injured received proper medical treatment and welfare assistance.

According to reports, the three nationals suffered moderate injuries following a fire that broke out in the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone after the strikes.

The attack prompted a strong reaction from the UAE government, which condemned what it described as renewed aggression targeting civilian sites and strategic facilities.

The UAE’s foreign ministry termed the strikes a serious threat to the country’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and said such actions violate international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Authorities in the UAE also reaffirmed the country’s right to take necessary measures to protect its citizens, residents and critical national infrastructure in accordance with international law.
