Ranchi
An IndiGo aircraft experienced a tail strike while landing at Ranchi airport on Friday evening, airport officials confirmed on Saturday.
The incident occurred at around 7.30 pm when the flight, operating from Bhubaneswar to Ranchi, was touching down with nearly 70 passengers on board. According to authorities, the rear section of the aircraft made contact with the runway during the landing, causing a brief jolt that was felt by those inside the cabin.
Ranchi airport director Vinod Kumar said all passengers were safe and no injuries were reported. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft was grounded after the incident, having been declared technically unfit for further operations.
