IndiGo, India’s largest airline, has regained operational stability, operating over 2,050 flights today with minimal cancellations, the airline said. This marks the fifth consecutive day of stable operations, connecting all 138 destinations.
In a statement, IndiGo said, “All our operational destinations are connected, and on-time performance is consistent with our standards. Only two flights were cancelled today due to technical issues, and affected passengers were immediately accommodated on alternate flights.”
The airline detailed its recovery over the past week:
Dec 8: 1,700+ flights, 1 cancellation
Dec 9: 1,800+ flights
Dec 10: 1,900+ flights, 2 cancellations
Dec 11: 1,950+ flights, 4 cancellations
Dec 12: 2,050+ flights, 2 cancellations
Dec 13: 2,050+ flights expected
IndiGo urged passengers not to rely on misleading reports of mass cancellations and requested airport partners to display updated schedules on terminal screens. The airline serves over 3.25 lakh customers daily.
Following previous disruptions, IndiGo said the estimated compensation for affected passengers could exceed Rs 500 crore. Refunds will cover customers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours or who were severely stranded at airports during December 3–5. IndiGo has committed to a transparent and hassle-free refund process, with most refunds already processed and the remainder expected shortly.

“Our primary focus through December 2025 is ensuring all refunds are completed efficiently and urgently,” the airline said on X.
