The situation is Khargone, a small town in Madhya Pradesh that witnesses clashes and arson between people of teo communitirs on the occasion of Ram Navmi on April 10, is improving, although the administration is yet to lift the ban on holding prayers in the local mosque. The people had to offer Namaz  on the occasion of Jumat ul Vida at their homes.

However, life seems to be normal on the surface yet people are scared 20 days after the violence to venture out unnecessarily.

Meanwhile, the Jamiat Ulema of Madhya Pradesh has announced the rehabilitation of the victims of Khargone violence. After Eid, a delegation of Madhya Pradesh Jamiat Ulema and Sadbhavna Manch will visit Khargone and meet the victims along with administration officials and make an assessment of the ground situation.

Madhya Pradesh Jamiat Ulema President Haji Muhammad Haroon has alleged that the government and administration have taken unilateral action instead of enforcing the rule of law in Khargone violence case.

“The job of the government is to deliver justice and not become a party to the issue. In Khargone, houses of innocent people were demolished in unilateral action by the administration. Their property and shops were also damaged.” Jamiat Ulema will not only review the situation after Eid, but also help in restoring law and order there. Those who have been victims of mischief and government action will be rehabilitated.

The idea is to restore the pride of the people, help them restart life by picking their work and livelihoods.

Jamiat Ulema is being supported by NGO Sadbhavna Manch in this endeavour.
