The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs has identified internal security and the growing threat of artificial intelligence–enabled frauds among the key subjects it will examine in the year ahead.

According to a Lok Sabha bulletin, the department-related committee has shortlisted eight topics for detailed scrutiny during the 2025–26 period.

The panel, chaired by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, will also take up issues related to disaster management, internal security challenges and border management, including concerns arising from Left Wing Extremism.

In addition, the Rajya Sabha–linked committee plans to review crimes against children, measures to curb drug abuse, and strategies to combat organised crime such as human trafficking.
