Leaders of the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council (AISSC) met National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and excplained to him their plan to lead the youth on the path of peace and positivity through the propagation of Sufi thought. The AISCC is a conglomerate of Sufis and works towards promoting brotherhood and communal harmony in the country.
The delegation was led by Syed Nasruddin Chishty, the successor to the current spiritual head of the Ajmer Dargah and chairman of the AISSC.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Syed Nasruddin Chishty stated that for the past 10-15 years, the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council has been working tirelessly to promote the core values of the Sufi tradition—love, brotherhood, humanity, and patriotism—across the country.
He added that the AISSC's central office was formally established and inaugurated today in Delhi's Nizamuddin West area. This office will not only serve as a hub for the organisation's activities but also serve as an important platform for dialogue and cooperation at the national level.
Chishty stated that with the establishment of the central office, the AISSC has launched a special national campaign, "My Country, My Identity."

The campaign aims to connect citizens with India's shared cultural heritage, Sufi tradition, and the thread of national unity. He said that India's dargahs have been examples of Ganga-Jamuni culture for centuries, where people of all religions, classes, and communities come with devotion without any discrimination.
He stressed that the Sufi tradition has always served as a unifier of the country. “Dargahs are not just places of worship, but centres of mutual love, dialogue, and trust. Today, when ideological and social challenges are increasing in society, Sufi thought has become more relevant than ever,” he said.
The AISSC leaders' meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval lasted about one and a half hours. It covered topics such as social unity, joint efforts against extremism, positively guiding youth, and the role of the Sufi tradition.
Prominent Sufi saints and Muslim scholars from various parts of the country participated in the meeting.
According to sources, the delegation shared with NSA Doval its views on how India's Sufi heritage can be integrated into the broader discourse of national unity and internal security.
The delegation also explained that Sufi traditions offer a strong ideological alternative to radicalism and violence, and it can guide young people toward peace, coexistence, and patriotism.
Syed Nasruddin Chishty stated that during the meeting, the NSA was briefed on the activities of the AISSC, the "Mera Mulk, Meri Pehchan" campaign, and their plans. He said the dialogue was positive and constructive, with an open exchange of views between the two sides. "We believe that a nation's strength comes not only from security measures, but also from social unity and mutual trust," he said.
AISSC says that in the future, the organisation will spread the Sufi message to the masses through dialogue programs, youth dialogues, cultural events, and educational initiatives in various states across the country. The organisation's goal is to strengthen India's pluralistic identity and to convey the clear message that the country's diversity is its greatest strength.
