Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was deeply influenced by the idealsim of Swami Vivekanada since his childhood.

Netaji was a patriot and his patriotism was embedded in his spiritual awareness which he achieved through his in-depth study of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

Swamiji taught him how to love and worship the country as Divine Mother, For Subhash, Swamiji was a path finder “as the spiritual father of the modern nationalist movement” and followed him to become a spiritual patriot.

On 23rd January, we celebrate the birthday of India's most famous revolutionary and visionary freedom fighter, who fought throughout his life for the independence and honour of his country.

Subhash Chandra Bose, a freedom fighter, was in Germany in 1942 when he was conferred the honourable title of 'Netaji', which means 'Revered Leader' in Hindi, by both German and Indian officials and by Indian soldiers at the Azad Hind Fauj.

He proudly said that "One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  paid his sincere tribute to  the bravest ever hero of the nation on his birth anniversary.

Bose said that freedom could never be given, it should always be taken.

Subhash was highly inspired with the thoughts and spirits of Mahatma Gandhi but he was the one who could realize that  India's freedom could only be achieved by force. So  he said "No real change in history has ever been achieved by discussions."

So both Subhash and Mahatma had to  part their ways from each other but they shared great respect for each other.

Subhash said "It is our duty to pay for our liberty with our own blood. The freedom that we shall win through our sacrifice and exertions, we shall be able to preserve with our own strength."
