During the regional qualifiers, Canada’s bowling attack was led by off-spinner Shivam Sharma, who picked up 11 wickets at an economy rate of 7.81, and left-arm pacer Kaleem Sana, who claimed 10 wickets at an economy of 7.5. The duo will be key figures for the side in the upcoming tournament.
On the batting front, Canada will rely on attacking batter Nicholas Kirton, with additional firepower expected from left-hander Yuvraj Samra, who boasts a strike rate of 160.72.
Canada have been placed in Group D alongside South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates. They will begin their campaign against South Africa in Ahmedabad on February 9.
